The eye of a spectator

Today I had the chance to experience something new in my life,
a real life video shooting for a music video.
yeah yeah I know what's engineering got to do with music?
hey, life is not meant to be lived for one reason, we can have sidelines to go with it.
and today the sidelines are photoshoot and video shoot!

I had some interest in photography, but not that deep into it like owning my own camera to take pictures. For me, as long as I could took photos that could describe exactly what i'm feeling at that particular moment is enough for me. I am not that creative to take pictures, as long as I'm content with the picture that I took. confusing? haha you know me. :)

SO, the director of the day was Echo, Najib as the videographer, Zatul and Afiq were the photographer, and the artist of the day was Kak Sol or also known as Lehadelegagaminaj!
The song of the day was "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele but with Miss Lehadelegagaminaj own version.

Proof, betol2 dekat rooftop ! ;D

This is when the artist will get a close-up and singing her lungs out in front of the camera!

Behind the scenes!

The main idea for the videoshoot is the girl was reminiscing the sweet and lovely memories with her soulmate at the place where they first met and where they spend their time together creating lovely and unforgettable memories. Alas, her soul mate left her alone and she seems puzzled and lost. However, the memories shall never be forgotten nor lost with time. Their sentiment would be focused on the 10 heart shapes of a poker card. why? it shall be explained in the video itself which will be uploaded once I've got my hands on it!

Checking back the recordings

Thank you soooo much guys for letting me be part of this creation and for letting me experience what it feels like to have a photoshoot besides filming a sweet and funny love story. The cuts and repeatedly recording the same thing over and over again, the funny and creative ideas I had seen today and most importantly how extremely FUN it was! seriously! I had LOTS AND LOTS OF FUN!

The awesome and sporting crew of the day :)
Thanks for inviting me in this little project! :)

PS: Also i've met a new friend today, well not exactly for the first time. I've known her as a friend of a senior and just know I've learn a little bit how a freelance works :)

PSS: thought of uploading this when the video was done but could not stand the excitement to write!!

PSSS: Just because we're engineering student, doesn't mean we cant have some fun ^.^

Family Vacation! part 2

This is where the vacation really begin!
okay, fyi, Burj Al-Khalifah is at the moment the tallest building in the world.
Burj is arabic for tower and khalifah is the name.
The height is 829.84 m while KLCC is only 452 m. just imagine how painful it is to look up in the sky to find the top of this building ;)
However, we were only allowed to reach the 124 floor of this tower due to certain reasons.
one of them would probably because of the pressure and also there is already a jump case for this tower, sad isnt it?

here it is, the mighty Burj al-Khalifah

owh, there's a story behind this, our beloved brother loves to gives us the one thousand years of pain by using nadiah, so just some taste of your old medicine? hehehe( just posing, didnt really did it)

and of course the obligatory camwhoring in front of the burj with my locos!

owh, all this happen while we were waiting for our session to up this tower, you see how clever and filthy rich this arabics are, 1 adult ticket is 100 AED and child is 85 AED IF you booked the tickets online, IF you just come and wanted this rate tickets, it would be a miracle to buy it at the moment since via booking also is fully booked like 3 days before the date you wish to go. HOWEVER, you can just come on the spot and just pay 400 AED to be on the spot list. Major gap difference to pay right? and the amount of people that had paid on the spot that day, could cost us one family tickets to fly back home, damn those rich people! haha

we were quite lucky to be the first in the line, if we were a few minutes late, we would have to join the queue of a bunch of american tour guide.

Waiting for the fastest elevator in the world! 104 seconds to reach 124th floor!

Dubai Mall is famous for its fountain show at night right? well this is the view from the burj of the overall of the lake at Dubai Mall and damn the water is very very clear !
(yeah i do lots of comparison with Malaysia for this things and i felt so sad =.=)
Dubai mall and the burj is somewhat like klcc and suria klcc, top is the tower, the base is the shopping complex.

They have this scope-thingie where you could zoom into place far away and see them quite clearly but of course with a price, for every 10 dirhams, you could view for __ minutes, didnt get to play with this that much, the little ones were hogging them. kids.

and on the way out, the walls were full of pictures and informations of the people involved in the making of this tower and one of the titles grab this peoples attention and wanted to be listed in the category. haha. "people behind burj khalifah" NOT.

We had a pit-stop in front of Cold Stone, the story of this ice cream comes from our kempunan-pregnant-soon-to-be-mama cousin that told us to go and taste this ice cream, so EVERY time we saw COLD STONE we would get excited and thus explains lots and lots of pictures regarding this ice cream, it was delicious, much better than baskin robin and another thing that made them special is the presentation from the workers before giving it to us, if you choose two flavors of ice cream, first they would mix them together and after some mixing and a little bit of juggling, one of them would toss it to the back and another one is prepared with the cup to catch the ice cream! and yes we were WOOOAHHHH :O!

and we were HUNGRY!!! super duper hungry!
Afif brought us to Al-Tawasol to taste their mandi and briyani. The mandi was delicious! superb! the briyani was not that much to my liking. The restaurant were divided into 2 parts mainly, family dining area and mens i guess, didnt really check out the place since i was hungry and waiting for the food to arrive!
First, the waiter gives us the menu while he lay down a couple of plastic sheets and send in some arabic "ulams" and their sambal belacan. After we've taken our orders, it was not that long until the food is served. I'd really recommend people to come here ans taste thier mandi! worth every dirham! ^.^

I dislike mint in whatever form it is being served, however this mint arabic tea was nice and delicious. i really enjoyed my mint tea that day!

Our host!

next stop? HARD ROCK CAFE!!
I think this was the first time the whole family were together shopping in this place!
Everybody were excited and yes, we went all the way, if you know what i mean!
(not the same definition as in 9gag ok?)

The last pit stop of the day was Burj al-Arab,
did you know that you have to make a reservation for everything in this hotel?
Even as to drink coffe in their cafe?(i was told)
damn filthy rich these people are! (amazed !)

We dropped by carrefour at the Emirates Mall which is literally behind Afif's apartment, like my house which is literally behing i-city!

Eventhough its just carrefour, i find it really interesting since there are lots of stuff you could not find in Malaysia and the price is quite reasonable.

Got 5 more parts to go! ^.^

Family Vacation! part 1

hey B! i know i had promised you more posts, but well, life has been quite hectic this past few weeks! so, here's some treat for you!

Okay Dubai, it was a kebetulan-semua-ada-and-passport-masih-hidup vacation, if you know what i mean, u dont? boo hoooo. Anyways, the original plan was to go to cameron higland the whole family and the place was fully booked and kak yana n che2 kirah had been asking to come visit them and yeah, might as well, its like killing 2 birds with 1 stone :)
Thus, began the journey of 7 days to the land of sand!
i, Esya the great was assigned for the whole program and thus, after multiples of msging around with my beloved cousins! the plan was set and all that is left is the implementation!

First day - (well not so much of jalan2 just the travelling part)
You see, dubai is 4 hours late from malaysia and it took us around 6-7 hours of flight, so our flight depart from malaysia in the evening n arrived at dubai around 10pm.

the happy and excited faces before the holiday begin! (still berat dompet ;p)

Nadiah brought along a panda bear and the stewardess mistaken her for a kindergarden kid. lucky you nadiah, lucky.

there's always time for camwhoring while waiting for the flight :)

The stewardess was so friendly and excited that she volunteered herself to take this picture

okay, besides the salad, this dinner was okay.

Nadiah was first one too play with the games and also the first one to doze off.
"Bestnya i jadi budak" was her response when she got a small bag and some other stuff in it.

call me naive, call me batak but this was my first A380 airbus emirates flight, so yeah was quite batak with all this thing. Even now, there is a video for the safety precautions like where is the airbag and what to do if there is an emergency landing, not like the old days where the steward demo it in front of us.

AND HELLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOO DUBAI!

and the 1st order of business? Mama's COSTA!!!

and nak dijadikan cerita, dunia ni sangat kecik! (more on that later)
Of all the passengers on board, we met our relative from Ganu and of all the seats on the plane, theirs was right behind us! really a small world !
They were heading somewhere and had to transit via dubai :)

hihihi our loyal and dedicated host of the week! Mr Afif Azhanee! patiently waits for us and escort us to his cozy home, where we stayed for a week! thank you so much !!!

heading to the parking lot and went straight home. Dubai's night view was awesome :)

More to come! ^.^
